North Country Lodge For years the Dryden / Vermilion Bay area has been the best kept Whitetail Deer hunting secret in Canada . Black Bear Camp Deer are all over Ontario . Just about everywhere you go you will see deer feeding on the side of the road or in fields. The most common deer in Ontario is the White Tailed Deer. We do not have an organized deer hunt so deer hunters just pay for the regular cabin or camping rates. Deer season is from November 1 to November 13. Tags are obtained by the Ontario Lottary System. Due to a population explosion of Whitetails in Northern Ontario , tags are very easy to obtain and the hunting is good.

Barry Brown’s Game Hunts
Our Whitetail Deer Hunts are 6 days/7 nights. All our Whitetail Deer Hunt Packages are all inclusive. The season runs the first two weeks of November. We host fewer than 8 Hunters per season over a 2 week period - a personalized, quality experience. Only Bucks may be harvested. All Hunt Documentation is handled through the Lodge and you will need to furnish hunter orange clothing and firearms. The most popular rifle caliber is the .30, followed by .270 and 7mm.
